The traditions of needlepoint are an important foundation for JHD, but they are not binding guidelines. The world of craft is enjoying a wonderful time of innovation and needlepoint is part of that. JHD desires to bring needlepoint back into the modern world, while still keeping its roots grounded in tradition.
Utilitarian accessories like belts, eyeglass cases, passport cases, coin purses, handbags and pillows are favorite products to design. Patterns are influenced by classic geometric motifs from all over the world as well as patterns found in nature.
